At Kennedy Baptist Church, we identify ourselves as part of the Southern Baptist Convention. We adhere to the Baptist Faith & Message that was adopted by the SBC on June 14, 2000.

Preaching and Teaching: We value the Bible as the inerrant Word of God that is the standard for our lives. We strive to communicate relevant, God inspired biblical preaching and teaching so that it brings about a transformational life. (II Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 12:1-2)
Prayer: We recognize the value of prayer as a part of our church and daily lives that allows us to communicate with God and grow closer to Him. We are a church that prays! (James 5: 13, 16, I Thessalonians 5:17, Philippians 4:16-17)
Giving: We value the experience of grace that causes us to respond with unrestricted devotion, unwavering commitment, and diligent service to God. We willfully and joyfully give our time, money, and talents to promote His purpose in the world. (I Timothy 6:17-18, Matthew 16: 24-26)
Evangelism: We value an active and loving witness for Christ to all people. We believe that God calls every believer into the fulltime ministry and we are intent on taking the Gospel across the street and around the world. (Acts 1:8, 6:4, Matthew 28:18-20)
Bible Knowledge: We value and obey no creed but Christ and no book but the Bible. We give the highest priority in our lives to learning Biblical truths and applying them to our lives. Because we love God and obey His commandments. (II Peter 3:18, Psalms 86:11, 119: 72, I John 5:3)
Worship: We value worship as our ultimate purpose as a church to declare our adoration for God. We are committed to expressing our love to God in all that we say, think, and do because He is worthy of all honor and praise. (I Corinthians 10:31, Psalms 95: 6-7, John 4:24)
